Dogs and Traffic

Most Dogs can handle traffic ok if introduced as pup take it slowly ; stand by the front gate and just let him watch the cars go by , Once out walking the pavement try and make sure it not to busy. Walk pup on the inside towards the traffic (unless it’s at night walk with the traffic as the headlights can be a bit bright) talk to him but DON’T reassure him or that could start a fear build up.

If it’s a rescue/older dog and is quite frightened of traffic don’t force or push him to hard, find a bench or seat on the side a roundabout or similar and sit there for a hour or so again talk to him once again don’t reassure him.
